My name is Caroline HeeJeon Gale. My family and I immigrated from South Korea to the United States of America when I was 10 years old. I've had to learn many new things such as a new language and culture. However, the most difficult thing of all was learning about myself. I started having symptoms of bipolar disorder when I was 12 years old. I was confused many times and thought I had failed but now I feel like I have a much better understanding about myself and how to deal with my disorder. I get much support from my husband (William Gale), family, friends and medical doctors. I've always had a passion to help others and their families with bipolar disorder and I am truly hoping this book “My Friend Bipolar” can help. Please email me or fill out contact for any questions or help. Thank you!

“My Friend Bipolar” is not a text book or guideline about bipolar disorder but a touching experience by a girl named Caroline. The poems I wrote really connect to my emotions and the narrations of the poems explain why I felt that way and what I was going through. They also show how I became friends with my disorder. These poems are written by my hands and also my tears. I hope readers can find hope and comfort through my book “My Friend Bipolar”.
